Senior Geologist

Erik has 27 years of professional geologic and environmental site investigation experience.  He has been responsible for the development, management and documentation of all phases of projects involving assessment, characterization, remediation and monitoring of contaminants impacting various media. He designed and implemented the in-situ remediation of a large petroleum release at a municipal facility. He has performed remedial investigation and feasibility (RI/FS) studies, underground storage tank investigations, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), risk assessments, and regulatory compliance documents, including detailed work plans for regulatory review and spill prevention, control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans. 

Erik was project manager for an investigation of magnitude and extent of a significant chlorinated solvent plume at an industrial site near the City of Portland’s South Shore Columbia Well Field, including installation of a 75-foot deep groundwater recovery well for gradient control and protection of the municipal water supply. Petroleum industry experience includes as a manager of a portfolio of 50 retail service stations in Washington. His experience includes support in design and installation of large-scale soil and groundwater treatment system involving injection and recovery wells and in-situ bio- and chemical oxidation treatment of a chlorinated solvent release at a shipping facility at the Port of Vancouver, Washington. He currently provides site research, project support, and preparation and/or review of final technical report documents.
