Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Cynthia has over 32 years of experience as a Professional Geotechnical Engineer in Oregon and Southwest Washington.  Her projects have included evaluation and design for the stabilization of multiple large-scale landslides using shear piles, rock netting and tiebacks, horizontal drains, and soldier piles with tiebacks; numerous new retaining wall designs, including soldier pile walls with tiebacks, and mechanically stabilized earth walls; deep and shallow foundations for new residential construction, multi-story commercial housing buildings, and a variety of new wineries and tasting rooms throughout the Willamette Valley; repair for existing foundation using helical piers and micro piles; temporary and permanent shoring for deep excavations; cut and fill recommendations for mass grading projects; and expansions and closures of Municipal Solid Waste landfills.  For the last 20 years, before joining EVREN Northwest, Cynthia was the founder and Principal Geotechnical Engineer for Terra Dolce Consultants, Inc., a successful geotechnical engineering firm in Portland, Oregon.  Previous employers include EMCON, Newton Associates, Inc. and AMEC, Inc.  

Cynthia loves spending time with her family, traveling abroad, photographing landscapes and wildlife, and learning about and drinking quality wines.  Over the last 6 years, Cynthia has successfully completed the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust (WSET) Levels 2 and 3 and the Wine Scholar Guild certification classes in French, Italian, and Spanish wines.
